Built inn 1915, the Phillips Park Zoo houses many animals given a second change at life. The zoo concentates mostly on native animals and promotes education and conservation.
This park on an island in the Fox River, just south of downtown Geneva, is a tree-house themed playground with a small zipline for kids (and adults too), a concert pavillion, gazebo, and tons of open space.There is a pretty cool pedestrian bridge that takes you from one side of the river to the other making it an easy stop if you're biking or walking along the Fox River Bike Trail.
Peck Farm has a day's worth of activities waiting for you. Check out Hawk's Hollow- an interactive learning park (and one of our favorite playgrounds), take a walk around Peck Lake, or visit the beautiful Butterfly Garden (summer only). Bring a picnic lunch and sprawl out on the shady lawn of the Interpretive Center or eat under the picnic shelter!
The Red Oak Nature Center has a lot of interactive exhibits that are perfect for a cold winter day or a little break from the summer heat. Take a short walk down to the river or to the only cave in Kane County! Extend your time outside and take walk down to Lippold Park to explore the rope walk and wetland boardwalk!
